The Piano Event offers sections covering contemporary, classical, improvisation, chamber music and period compositions across both age and grading classifications.

New arrangements are in place for the 2024 Open Piano Championship.

The Open Piano Championship Final (now P005) will consist of a Preliminary Round and a Final Round.  Four contestants will be selected from the Preliminary Round to perform in the Final Round – the Open Piano Championship.

The Open Piano Championship will be held on the afternoon of Sunday 25 August 2024.

Previous entrants awarded First Place in the Open Piano Championship (formerly P001) will not be eligible to enter.
